Respect My Bounderies
Don't traverse the terrain of my soul With footsteps of exploitation, taking control Don't manipulate my heart's vulnerable core With cunning artifice, leaving me poor Don't assume my kindness is a weakness to exploit A facile target for your calculating guile My generosity is not a limitless well To be drained by your insatiable, selfish spell Don't mistake my compassion for capitulation A surrender to your every domination My empathy is not a vulnerability to seize A foothold for your opportunistic ease Respect the sanctum of my inner space Where trust and love reside, in a sacred place Don't breach the walls of my autonomy With trespassing intentions, devoid of humility Recognize the signs of my dwindling store And refrain from draining me to nothing more For I will not be taken for a ride By those who would exploit, and then divide I demand respect, reciprocity, and care For my heart, my time, and my soul's repair Don't take advantage of my gentle nature Lest you face the consequences of my tempered future.
