Rereading
Sometimes at night I like to reread our old text conversations Like the first time you said you loved me on November 6th And how you called me hope Or when I surprised you in Indy And you told me I was crazy and insane Or your birthday And our adventure in the gym with the swivel chair Or the day after that When I finally got to call you mine I reread the conversations and I cry Because I still don't believe you're real And I can't believe someone like you would love someone like me And I cry because I know I'm the luckiest girl in the world And I cry because I know in a few months I'll be gone And you'll be gone And I won't be able to kiss your nose And give you hugs And tell you how much I love you So I'll probably keep rereading our conversations So I can remember how perfect you are
