Reminiscence
A dream I saw you, in my dream From the deepest parts of my mind Your warmth spread like sunlight Memories My mind you suffused them with Your smile on them was printed Your soft touch barely hinted My heart I never understood I saw the rose that I should not have taken And I withered it, mistaken I left Thinking it was for the best Forgetting about your kindness Your loving nature Confused I dealt with hate and love But gratitude soared above It was you the cause It was you I wanted It was you I held on I will never forget Our last kiss Your lips dissolved my life And within a shade I set my world ablaze And watched us burn Crumbling I tried to build myself back Locking in your last words Deep within my soul For you I was I am I remain I remember
