Release
Release I long for release, for a moment of reprieve, But the darkness inside me refuses to leave, I am left alone with my thoughts to wrestle, A lost soul, trapped in its own vessel, I long for a sense of peace, a moment of respite, But the storm within me refuses to be alight, I am caught in a cycle of fear and doubt, A tormented soul, lost in its own shout, I seek release in the beauty of the stars above, Hoping to find some hope and love, But even the brightest light dims in my eyes, My dull eyes lost in its own cries, I try to find peace in the whispers of the wind, But the light fades, leaving me to behind, I am trapped in a cycle of pain and sorrow, Searching for release, longing for tomorrow, I keep on waiting for release, for a moment of peace, But the darkness inside me refuses to cease, I am left alone with my thoughts to battle, A tormented soul, lost in its own rattle.
