Once again I arrive at the doorstep of a place I once thought was heaven, I was sold on a dream that I once thought was pleasant, A victim of my own kindness, I thought the foundation was laid for you, I showed you my side of the work and you paid me in snake oil, I once believed I was complex, So I decided to look within, Eyes are the window to the soul, I was on the outside looking in, I thought this wasn't worth all the hype, I thought I lost my purpose in life, I started second guessing myself, Then I was neglecting my health, I saw death down the hallway, I was living like this all day, I thought you could provide reassurance, You reassured my lack of importance, Yet! I said, never more, I retrieved my life from the devil's horns, I refuse to be forever scorned, The old me is who I had a problem with, The new me is who I'm restarting with, A louder voice and a new found confidence, I'll always honor him! Once again I arrive at the doorstep of a place I once thought was heaven, It prep me for my downfall, but wasn't prepared for my resurrection,
