Reflections Of Life Unlived
When gazing into the mirror's glass, What visage greets you, and what truth do you pass? Is that the person you've envisioned to be? A reflection of purpose, or mere obscurity? How can you nurture others, when you've forgotten your own? How can you dispense love, when your heart's unknown? You indulge in excess, as if tomorrow's dawn Won't bring reckoning for the choices you've sown. Your body, a temple, sacred and divine, Yet you treat it with disdain, and reckless design. Morals and dignity, lost in the haze, As you chase fleeting pleasures, and ephemeral praise. You've surrendered to the whims of others' desires, Lost your way, in the crucible of peer pressure's fires. Like a ship without anchor, or a rudderless boat, You're adrift, without direction, or a purpose to float. The world may offer life, but it's fleeting and brief, Yet Yah offers eternal life, and boundless relief. But do you know your purpose, your reason for being? Or are you just a leaf, blown by the winds of uncertainty, unseeing? You expect your children to follow your words, But they mimic your actions, and absorb your unspoken chords. So lead by example, and shed your selfish skin, Be the role model they need, and let your life begin
