Reflections
The stars above, they seem so far, Yet each one holds a piece of who we are. Glimmering lights in the velvet night, They mirror our souls in quiet flight. For every star, a story told, Of dreams unspoken, of hearts grown bold. They are the echoes of who we might be, Reflections of our hidden identity. In their glow, we see our fears, Our hopes, our joys, our silent tears. They twinkle with a knowing gaze, As if they’ve seen our darkest days. The alter ego, the shadow self, Hidden deep upon a shelf, It rises in the starlit sky, Where truth and fantasy entwine. In the night, we find our twin, A star that shines from deep within. It’s in their light we truly see, The parts of us we set free. So gaze upon the stars tonight, And find the truth within their light. For in their shimmer, we’ll come to know, The alter ego’s gentle glow.
