Reflection and Self-Love
In the daily rush, I avoid the glass, Unseen reflection, I let it pass. But one day I looked, and what did I see? A face and a body that saddened me. Disgusted by the image, I turned away, Confidence shattered, in disarray. When I dress up, I feel a brief high, But soon it fades, and I wonder why. Temporary joy, so fleeting and thin, Leaves me feeling empty, deep within. Yet in these moments, I must find grace, To love myself, and embrace my face. For beauty is more than what eyes perceive, It’s the strength inside, the dreams we weave. So I’ll look in the mirror, and start to see, The person I am, and who I can be.
