Reflection
The threat is gone, yet fear remains I sit in silence, bracing for the bang. Anxious heart with nothing near, But shadows whisper, stoking fear. I glance into the mirror's eye, And meet a monster, standing by. Time has twisted who I was A stranger now, without a cause. The face I see, I do not know, Worn by storms I didn't show. The past has carved its name in me, And left behind what used to be.
