Reflecting on the past.
In frames of wood, two pictures stand, Reflecting then and now, hand in hand. One shows mistakes, a path left behind, The other, results of lessons learned, A long battle painted, growing up, Lessons learned from each hiccup. Excitement in the journey, the person I am, Reflecting on the past, like a mirror, a grand slam. Short in length, but deep in thought, Reflective style, the battles fought. English language, conveying the thrill, Of growth and change, a journey uphill. ( My long journey through my battles with drug addiction. A life filled with endless cravings and anxiety and depression. A time of scrambled thoughts and mixed emotions that keep you on the edge of ending the fight. So many times I've faced each new day not knowing if I'll make it through it or not. )
