Red – inspired by Hawks
I'll be the one who never Got the things that I endeavor Titles owned too long, I'd rather Try some new stuff, don't care whether Others say it's worse or better I see red, bloody red, I see red, I feel anger But beneath it, I feel danger Might be breaking, losing shape Terrified?– I'm just afraid Of myself– the lives I could take Want to change my life, the pressure's Weighing down on my white feathers Turn them black like it's a pleasure Deal with crimes, I was the predator The times that I've played the bad guy I was led by adrenaline Still feel like I see the fires That have burned through my desires Blue and red, burn to death, I see red Guilt is crawling up my back Can't find peace in my own bed now I'm getting haunted every night But I can't go back in time And do it better The floor gets redder Should be glad no one else suffers But now I'm the one who shudders At the thought of what I've done All the blood I've spilled while stabbing through his skin– I feel like throwing up Remembering the punishment I got Right after being caught I've been told that he is dead now But in my head, he's still screaming– so I run He's the only one that's gone My real smile and peace have left along
