Red Fragility
my heart flattened roadkill of the day fresh bit lifeless maybe in the long horizon there lies a hope whether dim as the morning blink my pockets are filled entirely i play the role, wear the mask and speak with confidence but inside my bearings jiggle like the red jello in a tired fridge i sit and contemplate my vows i haven't broken any promises only disappointments in my derailment the train sits in its tracks i hold my commitment to the last boarding station.
