Recovery of Myself
I wandered through shadows, broken and blind, A soul once vibrant, now lost to the wind. Each breath was a battle, each step a plea, For healing to find what was left of me. But in the still silence, I heard a sound— A whisper of hope from the cracks in the ground. The days grew softer, the nights less cold, As fragments of strength began to unfold. I met my reflection, scarred but strong, And realized I'd been healing all along. Through every stumble, fall, and delay, I gathered light to guide my way. Now I rise, not perfect, but whole anew, With eyes that see and a heart that's true. The weight has lessened, the skies turned bright, My soul bathed in morning’s gentle light. This journey was hard, but worth every strife— For I have recovered… the love of my life.
