Recognition
Where is the girl that used to be so happy? So carefree? She's gone. It was taken out of her. By trauma. By mental illness. By life. She hasn't smiled for a while. Few things make her laugh. Her life tracks a graph. A downward descent is all she sees. Nobody hears her quiet pleas. "I hope everything gets better" she thinks. "I hope I get a little more clever." Knowing full well that it isn't a promise. Fear is all she's got. She keeps her hopes tied in a knot. She keeps them near, as close as fear. Hoping one day, her fears left will be in rear.
