Reborn
I sit here in the snow, my heat so low The tears run down my face like rain These dark emotions that sink bone deep Sometimes they go away, but others, they creep The pain is all too real, and yet I feel no ease I want to finally be free, but without a little peace I'm searching for a way out of this abyss The struggle is too real, and I must not miss My years have been marked with agony and grief I want this sadness to begin anew, for me to find some relief So I take a breath and hope that once I start, I'll be reborn, a new beginning, and I can restart These feelings will no longer own me, these tears that I have shed With new perspective, I can live life, and not be misled I'll look forward to the distant future, whatever it may hold I can look past the present and this story can be retold.
