Reading signs
The stars formed another constellation. The sky didn't compliment the sea like it did before, rather looked at it with accusation. Fall wasn't near, yet somehow the leaves were starting to let go, The flowers aren't the same, their colors aren't as radiant as it used to show. The rain visited more often than before— The mellifluous singing of the birds doesn't touch my heart the same anymore. The waves lost its calmness, it became one raging sea, The weather isn't at its usual. In everything, it chooses to disagree. Maybe someday I'd learn to open up another door, Perhaps in another universe, i'd be worth something more. Maybe I'll stop believing the lifeline my hands bestow— Cause maybe in this lifetime, I'm meant to choose what i avoided long ago. To choose between chasing a dream or chasing away the pain feels like an obligation, Somehow, my heart chooses a place where we were meant to be... a different destination.
