Read Between My Lines, Please
Words were never my strong suit But for you I'd try I'd throw up poetry like that's all I've consumed For you I'd tell you everything on my mind You make me the happiest I've been You make everything worth getting out of bed I've never laughed as hard or smiled as much Any day I spend without you it's horrible I feel the weight of depression crush my chest Nothing is worth getting up for I only sigh and blink without you I don't want to ruin our friendship I know you don't feel the same But my fingers twitch and itch to write I could fill pages of poetry All about you The way you smile before you laugh The way your eyes dim whenever you're tired How you get this look when you're thinking Words were never my strong suit But with you they never had to be You get me I just wish I knew how to tell you I wish you could read between my lines I still love you more Even if you don't see me that way I want you to be happy Even if that means I'm just a friend
