raundrops
In the quiet patter of the endless rain, I find a solace in this ceaseless pain. Each droplet mirrors tears I cannot share, For silence is the armor that I wear. I've cried a river, unseen, unsaid, A flood of sorrow in my weary head. But voices linger, sharp with cruel disdain, They mock my truth, dismissing my refrain. I tried to tell, I tried to reach, But words, like rain, just fell to breach The hollow hearts of those once called my friends, Who turned away, their trust a fickle bend. Accused of lies, my soul's lament denied, While in this storm, I have no place to hide. Alone, I drown in echoes of my cries, Invisible beneath these tearful skies. So let the rain fall heavy, cold, and gray, For it conceals the grief I can't betray. In this downpour, I’m forever bound, A silent wretch, in sorrow's depths, I’m drowned.
