ramblings of a dreamer Pt. 4
on through the gate i go not a single person going to or fro, not a single face to be seen nor an answer for me to gleen a place grown quiet as a mouse like every man hid in his house the wonderous streets are so dead in the mystical marvel oh so red on through the marbled streets i walk yearning for anything that would talk passing great works of wonder a place so rich and full of plunder statues and fountains line the street yet not a single soul for me to meet a place so mystic and so bold a wonderous place so very old in i go so ever deeper up and up ever steeper this city breathes a bated breath as creatures do upon their death off in the distance a ruby palace scowls at me with bloody malice so high above and far beyond from its presence i can't abscond The end of the path i do approach the ruby palace i must encroach my blackwood bells grow ever louder on my approach the palace grows prouder ever closer i begin to prowl from the palace i hear a howl the rise and fall of strange voices what i hear far from rejoices
