before this wonder my body does stand a thing of awe, magnificent and grand its arches look down at me the stones aching to flee statues stand so tall and proud faces of kings from beyond deaths shroud i feel as though they watch me in terror as though i come to end an era beyond the bridge stands grand stone walls behind that arise ghastly shrieks and calls as my blackwood staff hits the ground its haunting bells bleakly resound i march ever onwards across the stone sculpted saints and kings quietly atone closer and closer till i reach the gate closer and closer to my only fate before me stands a work of art alive and coloured like a heart symbols shifting like lines of sand in the middle a great white hand it stands resistent baring my entry this mystical gate, a pale sentry why wont it let me pass? why leave me in the yellow grass? I strike the hand with the blackwood staff i'll see if it can take my wrath the bells toll on and on the emerald sky now gone slowly replaced by darkest night and now the hand quakes with fright it crumbles away to nowt but dust - icy wind through the open gate does thrust
