raindrops
drip, drop. memories in the air, fall like rain drops. one moment there and then gone. leaving me with empty palms, fingers grasping wet. forgive and forget, right? or maybe just forget. memories fade into an sad quiet song, an echoing shout, of everything I've forgotten about. everything I've let fall to the earth, get tangled in the waves, lost in the storm. but if I forget, maybe it won't matter, anymore. splish, splash, pitter, patter, it'll get better. drip, plop. falling, falling, falling, like raindrops.
