Rain in Forest night
If it rains, let it rain— Let the flow keep its fleeting grace. If waves rise and fall, let the shore endure, Let the banks bear the ache of shifting sands. A thousand wishes for a single smile, Yet no gentle light breaks through— No whisper of joy rides the wind. This river runs on memory, Its path carved in silence and sorrow. The forest stands—a sentinel of patience, Lonely, but never alone. I walk beneath shadows that do not speak, Falling leaves like forgotten thoughts. Birds cry and vanish into darkness, The sky, distant and untrusting. I wait in the hush of stillness— Not for the rain to cease, But to feel the end Of all that is fleeting.
