Rain Forest
Rain in Forest Night. When it rains in the forest, let it rain. Let the moment hold its fleeting trace. When the river bends in restless waves, Let the shore endure, Let the banks bear the ache of shifting sands. A thousand wishes for those hollow days, Yet no soft light breaks through. Beneath this rough, cold, starless sky, I ,lie the driest leaf nearby, Still upon the silent road, No whisper of joy to soothe the wound. This river runs on memories, Its course carved deep in silence and sorrow. The forest stands,a sentinel of patience, Lonely, yet never alone. I walk beneath the voiceless shade, Falling leaves like forgotten thoughts. Birds cry and vanish into dark, The sky, distant and distrusting. I wait within the hush of stillness, Not for the rain to cease, But to feel the end Of all that is fleeting.
