Rain Drops
Rain drops fall as I cry, Your words, “I love you,” a fading sigh. But your heart beats a different tune, Under the same pale, lonely moon. Rain drops fall as I weep, You left me here, my pain runs deep. No goodbye, no gentle hand, Just empty echoes where we stand. Rain drops fall as I ache, You return, but my heart can’t take. Another’s hand held close to you, While I drown in the cold, wet view.
