Rain
A fleeting feeling Of somberness blooms Out of the silence in my room. A woeful song I've heard before Will sing a tune of nothingmore. And I'll stare at white walls That fade to blue I'll search the sheets for traces of you. But find no remnants of seasons past But what we had I swore would last. And this tune that plays Has no words Only a chours of chirping birds. For in the rain I hear your name If you find yourself wondering I'm still the same. Even after all these years I still search for you with rivulet tears But there is nothing left. So in the dark, I wait like a ghost Haunting this room like my only outpost Beneath the covers we once lay. Remnants of you still cling to my brain Because you promised forever But all I got was rain.
