Pushin Up Daisies
Some day they will laugh and say that I am one of those "crazies"- They will wonder where I'd gone, Unknowing I'm just pushin up daisies. Somewhere on a country road, where I sought relief and rest-- A single shot to the temple, My heart, no longer beating in my chest. I will find sweet release, you all might think I'm crazy- But it's the only cure, and no one else can save me-- So when they ask where I can be found- Tell them in the hills where my ancestors tried to raise me, tending to my precious flowers- Out there, somewhere...
