Pursuit of Happiness
Gone are the days for wine and red roses. We've grown old together and nearing the end. We have suffered through many life changes, but none of that matters; we are still friends. Afternoon shadows furnish the bedroom in drabbish colors; odd blacks and greys; suspended within the spacefolds of time, Where minutes and hours roll into days. Sometimes I wonder if you feel it as well; perhaps we are ready to rearrange our predictable patterns we find comfort in, and make them brighter to entertain. In our pursuit of happiness, we could complete all those projects you planned. Or better still, we could just run away; experience the rest of our lives firsthand.
