Oh Yah, Divine Guardian, extricate me from the thrall, Of toxic companions, whose noxious influence would enthrall, The world, a labyrinth of duplicity, where virtue's often rare, Conceals the venomous, whose malice would my soul impair. At times, I'm lost, unaware of the company I keep, Ensnared by relationships that subtly undermine my faith's deep, I yearn to be a fervent disciple, not a lukewarm, faint-hearted soul, Fully surrendered to Your will, with every fiber, every goal. Remove, dear Yah, every uncleanness, every thorn that would impede, Every noxious weed that would choke the fruit of my heart's deep seed, Protect me from those who sow discord, from the selfless, and the bold, Whose unbridled tongues would defile, and whose hearts are turned to cold. Keep me far from those who would divert me from Your sacred way, Who would lead me down the treacherous path, where poisonous snakes hold sway, Surround me, instead, with companions who would edify, not destroy, Those who thirst to know You more, who grasp their true identity, and life's purpose employ.
