PTSD
I still see your face when I close my eyes I still hear your voice and all of your lies I have flashbacks, Me begging you to quit That just makes you angrier,The harder you'd hit You would cry promising it would never happen again Walking on eggshells never knowing when I tried so hard to do everything right Each attempt futile,Always causing a fight I loved you so much, I just didn't understand There was a time we faced everything hand in hand When did things change? When did they break? Leaving you is something I just couldn't take You promised to change, This time it had to be true I gave chance after chance standing by you Now that you've left I can finally see I know now it's you and not me Constant flashbacks of the things that you did Shame that I felt from the things that I hid I lied to protect you I thought noone knew As if they were blind to the black and blue I still have those nightmares I still see your face They say it will get easier, Please let's quicken the pace Now trying to fix and understand what's wrong with me The doctors tell me it's called PTSD
