Pt.2 :The Silent Plea for Dawn
(The Weight of Gloom, The Wish for Dawn) Part 2: The Silent Plea for Dawn Though dawn's light fades, and shadows creep, I beg of God, my soul to keep, Or take it hence, and end this pain, That floods my senses, like harsh rain. My heart and mind, in fractured war, One pleads for life, and dreams to soar, The other whispers, dark and low, "Just vanish now, and let it go." "We've chased our dreams, with fervent might," My heart insists, with fading light, "There's still a path, a hope to find," But shadows deepen, in my mind. "Just end it all," the voices hiss, "This endless pain, you can't dismiss," A heavy weight, upon my chest, A weary soul, that knows no rest. Which path to take, I cannot see, Just silent pain, engulfing me. I plead to God, with trembling plea, "Release this burden, set me free." Perhaps I'm meant, to still remain, To break these chains, and rise again. Though pain obscures, my heart's true way, I long for peace, and brighter day, To find a solace, soft and deep, Where broken spirits, gently sleep.
