Promises
All the broken promises add up. It is just one venomous lie after another. As the poison seeps out of your mouth it sinks into my skin. I start to believe you are going to keep your word. I should have never listened. You never do what you promise. You often remind me of my father. You never keep your word. The only difference is you will never break my heart like my father did and when you pack your things and finally leave there won’t be a hole in my heart. I can promise you that.
