Promise?
Do you promise to stay? Even after I wither and get washed away? I need a reply, even just a phrase. Promise to love me even with wrinkles on my face? Or would you hate me just when I begin to decay? "I love you" is all you say.... But I need actions to assure me of what you say. I don't know it all, maybe I know nothing at all. But I'm sure I need you by my side. Even just a little, even just for a while. Maybe your words aren't real, but I guess we'll never know. I hope they are so I don't die all alone. Promise to come visit me on a winter's day? Please promise to bring flowers to decorate my tomb. I need something pretty so I don't fade away. Promise to love me? Promise me you do. Please don't change your mind when I forget things out of the blue....
