Pretty Please
"Pretty please," the earth pleads to the sun. Lilacs and lilies, at a graveyard for fun. Bathing in moonlight, so painful and pale. Patiently waiting, your promises bare. So stunningly stale, as this night turns to months. Lives lived without your daylight, and the beat of your drum. "Pretty please," says the trees to the leaves. Falling and flailing, at 50 degrees. Dancing in the autumn breeze, frigid and freezing. Your cold wooden heart, drifting and bleeding. Leaving me without your pretty, please come back. Trapped under a pile of leaves, all but faded into black "Pretty please," I sob, staring at your picture. Wishing you back, just for you to pull the trigger yet again. Endless fit full sleeps, dreaming of your lions den. Dandelions dying, as I blow like a candle. On this fateful night, the life you couldn't handle. Feeling like a child, as I grip forget-me-nots. Pretty please don't forget me, My stomach crying knots.
