as I am a bit of a etymological nerd steeped in various interdisciplinary studies, maybe you'll find this informational bit more than slightly interesting. poetry comes from a lineage of words, which when you follow back to the earliest known origins, (*kwei-) means quite literally "to pile up, build, make, create, compose"— though not initially by way of written prose (at least for the proto-indo-european, as far as we know). but when studying one can easily see the Greek adaptation of the word "poien" or "poeta" coincides quite succinctly with the definition of an artisan, which over time has unfortunately subsumed humanity via procedural mechanics of artistry... (after all, an artist has to eat!) ...setting aside my own opinions on the commodification of the artistic experience, it should be an epiphany to realize that language allows itself to be subjected to the unknown, and comprehend through perseverance: it is not annihilated by change, but allows for all interplay, supplementing speech by engaging in arrangement- where even the odd derangement contains unforeseen orientation, contaminated by traces of its prehensile ineluctability, patient in its vacance, which knows only possibility.
