Prayer of the stage by Siyanda
Prayer of the Stage As the spirit sends me, I bow before the Name with humility. Words that seek to cleanse the heart. Now I rise, I speak. As I stand on the stage. The time of falsehood is wrapped. A person silent, The spirit speaks. As I prepare to raise my hand. I am here today, but I lived yesterday. I advise for tomorrow. I connect the heart and mind. I make a spoon that carries in a pot, It pours into a dish, It also sends to the mouth. Indeed, the taste can be heard in the ears. Control my mouth, Diminish my touch. Calm those who trust me with my creation. Hasten those who might be harmed by my words. The voice must strike like a bell, It trades the community to the truth. The title has been a burden for the man, A scarf for the woman. If my chosen words, Soothing the complaints, Those who are tired shake hands, Open their arms to each other. My thoughts must be clear, Where the bees feed. Their ears are like pipes, Carrying knowledge that will be shared. I say the word in the air now. I say the whispers and shouts must be heard now. The truth must be spoken now, Those who do not want it may judge it now. Their hearts are like a garden
