Prayer

My Dearest Jesus, Lord above, I come to You in humble plea. Surround me with Your endless love, And set my troubled spirit free. The shadows lengthen in my mind, Dark thoughts that whisper and deceive. Your holy light, Lord, let me find, That in Your truth, I may believe. Cast out the doubt, the fear, the strife, Renew my vision, clear and bright. Be You the lamp that guides my life, And fills my soul with grace and light. I yearn to be a steadfast guide, A pillar strong for those I hold so dear. To stand for them, whate'er betide, And banish every anxious fear. Lord, grant me wisdom, patience, might, To lead with love, and understanding deep. To be a beacon in the darkest night, The promises I make, to keep. Through every struggle, be my stay, Your gentle hand, my constant friend. Transform my heart, each passing day, Until my journey's earthly end. Amen.
