"Only lent, not forever" I'm at the end of my tether "They're small only once" Hold back tears in response "You're too much, not enough" it's so hard to be tough "Breast is best" Do you see I'm a mess? "Sleep when he sleeps" but our laundry's in heaps "Go to work, stay at home" Always together, but so alone. "Just leave the house" I need help from my spouse "You're pushing us away" These friends don't stay. "Baby blues or depression?" I gave that impression. These are a few of the things that I battle, as I'm holding my baby and shaking their rattle. This post partum depression creeps in like a cat, then pins you down as it jumps on your lap. Now lying in bed praying for slumber, but instead words fester and outnumber. I once was a woman so full of light, now I'm afraid, I give up with this fight.
