Power
Chess pieces are born inequal Anything the king says, goes Pawns are sacrificed, forced to kneel Oh how the closest to them were just foes The king hides in its castle Maybe it's scared of death Or the white and black it stained red It couldn't grief for there was nothing left A pawn can become a queen But with the support of its now-dead friends, who never were destined For the king chooses who turns red Chess pieces are born inequal but an "it's unfair" just won't save you from greater power
