Porcelain Child
On the mantle above the fire, sits a little wooden box. The twins should be asleep in bed, but they're just not tired. The box opens with a loud creak and nestled deep inside, Are delicate figures, cloaked by china, the twins eyes open wide. Out comes Mother Mary, clothed all in her blue. Gentle eyes closed in praise, for what God can do. Carpenter Joseph is out next, walking stick in hand, the journey was long and trying, but he is a strong man. A flock of of shepherds all flood out, along with their herd of sheep. They were the first to hear the news and told all, awake, or asleep. Then the Magi strode along, Wise men, from the east. Bringing gifts for a Savior, King, Humble, and meek. In the bottom of the wooden box, The twins see one last figure. a tiny baby nestled in straw, inside a crude manger. Baby Jesus came to save, every person from their sins. He grew up, and died a criminal's death, so we can live again. This is why we celebrate, this wonderful Christmas season, to remember the Porcelain Child, And the healing that he brings.
