Pops
Okay, so where went Pops? Guess nobody knows. But I think Pops took off to where all the good guys go; To that warm place his ancient memory shows. To all those hours playing pool. Before and, then, long hours after school. He always played by the golden rule; "Do unto others as you would have them do to you." Pops knew every angle of his cue, He knew his English and his cushions too. He played each game like it would be his last, Yes, he learned by experience but didn't dwell on the past. I sometimes think of old Pops and grow pretty sad. Though I wasn't his son; he wasn't my real Dad. He was just some good old guy that I used to know. And he went to pool hall heaven a long time ago.
