Pond
You keep your heart fortified with walls built by the hands of broken trust Because you were once led to fall Thighs opened to satisfy the stomach of lust That was never your own And somewhere in the dark corner of your heart Art a pond of yester tears When I bypassed these walls I headed for the pond with a flame lit Sat, I did, on the brink with ears turned to it The reflective shine showed me phantoms of you Tailed by the sounds of your lips singing a cry Darling let the opening swallow this pond Into the belly of the abyss Though salty the water is Allow thy heart to digest
