Pomegranate
I wish to be with the ocean, I feel the pull of it against the shore Let the waves swallow me whole For I'm too scared to let anything but it touch my heart I long for it's love, for its safety Even if it drowns me I'll die in it's gluttony for I know it will not spare me with mercy, For I'm too complicated, to obscure and selfish, Pluck the seeds from my skin but I'll never let you in, I try to warn you, I try to hide yet you only continue further, It this a game for you? Is this fun? Or do you truly want me? An apple or an of orange is always the first choice to bite Why pick a pomegranate for your meal when there is so much more? Peel open my heart, Layer after layer, Mutilate me if you dare then spit out my bitter taste, Stain your palms in the blood I weep, Why are you gentle? Why don't you rush? Why must you be different, I've seen your kind before, So what are you trying to trick me for?
