Poetry To Me

I love to have my poems rhyme It's a challenge to do that on every line To think of the words and to have them make sense It takes some times and at times I feel tense Getting it right is important to me If I'm struggling with words I just let it be Sometimes a poem will just pop in my head And its usually early morning whilst I'm still in my bed I keep my tablet on the nightstand So when I'm inspired its close at hand I tap on the keyboard and away i go Hoping the words will easily flow I envy other poets that don't use rhyme I've tried to do that, I can't and that's fine We all write differently, that is how we express Some poets are unknown, others a success It's a passion for me, I'm not out to make money My poems are simple, some of them funny If I have made people smile then my job has been done So for me, I wrote poetry because it is fun!
