Poems
In the depths of my soul, a tempest brews, A storm of emotions, hidden from view. They wonder if I'm okay, if I'm truly fine, But the truth lies within these verses of mine. For within these lines, my pain finds release, In ink and paper, my soul finds peace. Each word I write, a glimpse into my core, Revealing depths that go far beyond "I'm okay" lore. So read my poems, my silent cries, In each verse, a reflection of my weary eyes. Beyond the facade of a smile so faint, Lie tales of battles fought, both small and great. Through metaphors and rhymes, I bare my soul, Unveiling wounds that time cannot console. For "I'm okay" masks the truth I hold dear, Within these verses, my pain becomes clear. In the rhythm of stanzas, my heart finds a beat, As my struggles and sorrows find their retreat. So when they ask if I'm okay once more, Urge them to read these words I've poured. For the answers they seek lie within the lines, A portrait of pain that my pen defines. No longer "I'm okay" will be my refrain, For in my poems, my truth shall remain. June 19th 2023
