Please, Don't Go.
Don’t say it’s too late. Don’t say your mother will be angry if you don’t reach home on time. Let time stay outside— we are not made to follow the clock. A few mosquito bites can’t make us leave this quiet corner where our love feels at home. Even if a group of goons pass by, we don’t move. They can’t scare what’s real. We’ll sit here—just us. The smell of biriyani may rise from a nearby house. But even hunger can’t pull me away from you. If rain falls suddenly, don’t run. Get wet with me. Let your clothes soak, but don’t let go of my hand. Our love should not be bound by time or place. It should be like stopping entropy— impossible to reverse for the world, but not for us. This love is younger than a seed still hidden in the womb. And older than the universe before the Big Bang. So stay a little longer. Don’t count the minutes. This moment— is where everything begins. . . Pritam Debnath . . .
