Pinky Promise
You said that you always take a pinky promise seriously, but I guess when I wasn't looking you had your fingers crossed, because time and again you have proven me wrong. You said I was your best friend, that no amount of distance could end what we had, and for a moment I believed you, until I later found out that it wasn't true. Soon after I left I grew lonely as one would and anxiously awaited your call just as you assured. Only it never came, and when I reached out all I found were the same red flags, I could ask a hundred times how is your day with a big fat smiley face, but would never receive a how are you back. I guess at the time I was desperate and clung to the little love you showed me, figured you must have been busy. So I waited, and waited, yet here I am and I don't know you anymore. Now all I have are pictures from the past that constantly remind me of the girl I once was and a girl you don't know. So what happened, where did it go wrong? Did you find another blue-eyed brunette or just forget to call? Either way it's fine I'm over it now, but what annoys me is that you keep stringing me along.... go look for part 2 of Pinky Promise
