Pierced
There's a pain in my heart that just won't go away It's excruciating the feeling of a thorn being burrowed in too deeply Even more so, now that it's being pulled out ever so slowly How do I deal with it when it's becoming too hard to breath There's a pain in my heart that just won't fade away Engraved into the depth of my soul, a lasting stigma My story untold- witnessed by every droplet of tears, the proof of this undying dilemma How do I cope when it threatens to engulf and end me I've believed that time would help me heal But it seems like I would never escape unscathed I've been bruised and pierced through yet allowed to heal Only to be pierced once more, what a vicious circle The question that remains; will I ever heal? Will I one day stand to share my story as a scarred victor? Or will I be consumed by my inner demons fighting to let out its rear head? One thing is certain, the ball remains in my court ©Mega_word
