pick up my pieces
You helped me to fix what you didn't break Carefully picked up the pieces and gave them to me one by one Treated me with care, love and affection I didn't had to beg on my knees for You fed it to me with a silver spoon when I was starving Starving for love Desperately searching for what my parents and my friends didn't nurture me enough Until my own reserves were used up And I unlearned how to love myself To feed me But you did At leat for a bit until I could feed myself again I asked for plain water but you gave me more than you had for yourself You knew what it meant to starve till the hunger gets too high I found all that in you I must learn how to find all that in myself from now on How to walk my path on my own feet again But I know that you will catch me againwhen I trip over Hold me until I can stand again And pick up the pieces Once again
