perspective.
the plot of every narrative story is basically what makes most stories entertaining, isn't it? otherwise the story, without it's plot twists or simply just plots, is bland, basic, if you will. maybe this is metaphorical, maybe it isn't. perhaps I'm a plot twist waiting to happen in someone's narrative story, maybe they're the one holding the pen to the paper, about to make a new addition to the story.. but wait! the ink runs out, is this a sign? or maybe it's just the ink running out, nothing to it. maybe there is something to it, maybe there isn't: it's about the *perspective*. the same way, in life, perspective plays a huge role in the way life impacts you. you can always have either a negative or positive perspective on anything, and yes, it will play a big role in it's outcome. perspective, you could say, is crucial to our personal feelings, both logical and sentimental.
