Finally this moment I've been waiting for, just silence me and my thoughts, Try to untangle the messed up bits my life has left a knots, With the speed of the moment my conscious blurred once seen with perfect sight, While the heat of the moment straps me in holding me down for the flight, One day I've got life figured out then tomorrow seems so different, Standing strong and true to myself then discovering all that isn't, Chaos running, stomach sick with defeating thoughts that won't back down, Fooling myself with a calm cool reflection when deeper I'm scarred with a frown, The devil on one shoulder (the hate you love) next to Angel that fights to outshine, Clouds rolling in the darkness, blurring the direction I can't define, Humming loudly with fingers in my ears to keep out all dark thoughts, Desperately searching for the tools I need to connect all the dots, Longing for silence like a breath of fresh air, like music to my ears, Searching for the voice inside to scare away my fears, Hope feeding faster than evening sun, out like the rolling tide, Ignoring the neon colors my lids will try and hide, Nights darkness now settles in, craving the colors that I shed, I'm always one step ahead of myself l
